We’re throwing open our doors on the evening of Friday 26 October, 5pm-7pm, for a Halloween trick or treat event, especially for under 8s and their grownups.

On arrival, all children taking part will be given a fun activity sheet to lead them around some of the exhibits in the Victorian Town – there will be a goody bag for all children who have a go at all of the activities.

Gothic Gargoyles at Avoncroft Museum

Avoncroft has gone Gothic this Half Term holiday! Create your own gothic gargoyle to take home, weave a woollen spider’s web and see what it catches or make a mask fit for a gothic drama. Listen to some spooky tales before you hunt for the bones a couple of careless skeletons have lost on our Bone Collector children’s trail and even create your own gothic masterpiece. 30th October -2nd November.

There will be ponies visiting for you to ride and our local Model Engineers will also be running their miniature trains (Tuesday to Thursday only).

Halloween Trail at Severn Valley Park

Follow our Halloween trail around the park. See if you can solve the creepy clues to win a lolly! Trail map £2.00 each and are available each day from the visitor centre 11am-3pm.

James & the Giant Peach Day at the Wyre Forest

To celebrate Roald Dahl Day which took place on Thursday 13th September we will be hosting a James and the Giant Peach Activity Day on Thursday 1st November.

There will be lots going on:

1. The James and the Giant Peach ‘My Adventure Kit’ is available to purchase from the Cafe or Bike Hire for £7.50. The Activity Booklet can be used to plan you own forest adventure.

2. Discover for free the James and the Giant Peach Character Hunt in our Arboretum and have a self taken with the peach selfie board.

3. Free James and the Giant Peach Forest Games on offer for you to come try out such as Peach Volleyball (small ball deposit applies), Miss Spider’s Web, lasso a seagull and crawl through a tunnel, as well as James and the Giant Peach themed colouring in our Discovery Centre.

Terrifying Tales at the Black Country Museum

Discover spooky Black Country legends and tales of old this half term!
