We offer the full range of first aid training courses to suit all types of workplaces, businesses, community groups, sports clubs & individuals.
We offer a Baby & Child CPR course: A short 1 – 2 hour workshop perfect for parents, grandparents & anyone interested in learning more about First Aid for children.
We also offer Emergency & Full Paediatric First Aid Courses: These courses should be of particular interest to teachers, nursery staff, child minders, playgroup personnel and anyone else responsible for children’s welfare.

We are a support group for families in and around Dudley Borough who have or have had a baby on any neonatal unit. This could be because baby was born early, poorly or small. Our main activity is to hold informal family get-togethers (with activities using toys, crafts & Sensory room)on the 2nd Saturday of every month (10-12am) at Stourbridge Childrens’ Centre, Forge lane, Stourbridge DY8 1XF.

What do we do?
Antenatal visit: 28-32 weeks pregnant. A Health Visitor will help you prepare for parenthood and is someone you can talk to about how you are feeling. This visit will be offered to all first time parents and to other families if required.
10-14 days after birth. You can talk with the Health Visitor about how your new baby is settling in and you can ask questions regarding any aspect of their care. You can also talk about how you are feeling. The Health Visitor will also be able to advise on support and activities in your local area.
Six to eight weeks after the birth. You can talk to your Health Visitor about how you and your new family are doing. There will be an opportunity to talk about immunisations which start at 8 weeks and how you are feeling emotionally and physically.
A review of your child’s development at 9-12 months. This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s general health and wellbeing. If you are interested, your health visitor can also put you in touch with local baby groups, children’s centres or activities in your area.
At 2-2½ years we assess your child’s development.
2½ – 5 years – you can contact your health visitor to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your child.
0-5 years – you can contact your health visitor to discuss any health and development concerns you may have regarding your child. This can be via the numbers above, local clinics or the telephone advisory services.

Mini First Aid offers first aid classes to parents, grandparents, carers and children.
The classes are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and cover the basics of life saving first aid, giving you the confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency. Classes include:

Bumps and Babies is a group for expecting mums and non-mobile children. At present it happens once a month alongside the sling library, at Haden Cross fire station on the last Saturday of the month from 10am-12.

Happens every Friday morning from 10am until 12. We meet at volunteers houses and there’s no need to be a member to attend. These are suitable for expecting mums (& dads) and children through to school age (school age children are also welcome during school holidays).
